Partnership Projects: Guidelines
There are no limits to the range and nature of projects, which can be conducted by the community-campus teams. Some examples of projects that (have been) and can be done, include the following:

Collaborative beautification/environmentally restorative projects (architectural project photos).

Small business clinics.
-
Peace building inititiatives.
-
Meaningful skills acquisition programs for the unemployed.
-
Other small scale poverty reduction projects.
-
Prison Work - teaching, mentoring young offenders.
-
Partnering with established community group to define a problem, design proposal and solution.
-
Development of community park and recreational services.
-
Community mapping project.
-
Low cost housing design and building assistance.
-
Literacy or computer literacy programs (Adult literacy, street kids, women).
-
Free Legal assistance for women, widows, the poor and other disadvantaged populations.
-
Technology development projects for people with special needs (eg facilities modification).
-
Mentoring programs for at-risk teens.
-
Oral history projects in the local community.
-
Community based health projects that serve the elderly or children.
-
Community based children's science and technology centers with hands-on exhibits.
-
Students' loans or emergency assistance scheme in conjunction with local banks.
-
Engineering and technical assistance for community water supply systems.
-
Campus safety programs, which could involve installing emergency telephone stations, or rape prevention escort schemes etc.

Community theatre for addressing social concerns and health issues.
