The Alliance for Community Transformation is well positioned to successfully accomplish its goals. Its core team (of organizational and project coordinators) brings together local and international scholars and practitioners in the fields of development and politics, medicine, law, business and management, pastoral care, public health, technology, education and agriculture. Team members have demonstrable personal commitments to meeting the needs of local communities through sustainable projects and to consolidating the struggle for social justice and democracy in Africa countries. Some prior individual and collective development activities include participation in successful adult literacy programs funded by the United Nations Development Program in Osun State Nigeria; Public health and child welfare projects of the Expanded Program for Immunization (EPI); ongoing work with unemployed youth and physically disabled victims of the Ile-Ife/Modakeke crisis in Osun State; provision of free medical attention and advocacy for the aged in Minna, Niger State in collaboration with state agencies; youth mentoring and counseling programs in the State of New York, USA; the development of the first Integrated Health Informatics system in Nigeria, designed to enhance health care delivery at a local and then national level.
